Small story how I got catched by photography..
My passion for photography started at the age of 12 where I got my first camera. This was the camera from my dad which he bought to photograph my childhood. A Canon-A1, 35mm film camera. As film was pretty expensive I was not taking a lot of pictures, but surely was planning each frame. I remembered the settings and also the camera was smart enough to not waste a frame.
This was my earliest camera, then I went into digital beginning with a Sony point-and shoot, after my Grandfather won a Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD5 camera using 31/2″ floppy disks. Then followed EOS350, EOS50D, 5D MKII, 5D MKIII, Sony A7.. story continues..
I had too many big gear and I traded everything digital for a used Fujifilm X-E1 including the 35mm F1.4. I tested it and was very happy with the image quality, the sharpness of the images was clearly the winner for me to continue with that camerabrand.
Today I swap between the solid X-E2 and some medium format gear including analog, whatever suits my mood.
